Seven years ago today, I was Baptized. What a journey to get me to the point of taking that big step those years ago! I look back & thank God for each & every trial & tribulation that I experienced which led me closer to God.
God is a great God! He kept me back then & He continues to keep me know. What a blessing it is to know that our Father is in control of everything. What a blessing it is to know that even before I knew Him, He knew me & had His hands on me. I really don’t think that there’s enough breath in me to tell Him “Thank You” enough.
So as I celebrate today & look at the years passed, I have no regrets; I am grateful for His love, grace, & mercy!! I love the Lord & am so happy that He’s chosen me.
The Bible says, “It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.” (Psalm 75:7 NLT). This is the scripture that usually refers to the saying “Promotion comes from the Lord.” What true words these are. After a little over two years on my job, God has blessed me with a promotion! God has guided me along this journey & continues to do so!!
I always look back (& aim towards the future), knowing that all He has done is not because I’m so great, but because He is so great to me. He’s equipped me, prepared me, tested me, & kept me through the entire journey (& continues to do so)!
Our God is a great God; we must keep the faith through everything we face. There’s nothing He cannot handle for us. Most times, we’re in a place of preparation for what’s to come! Thanking God for preparing me & never giving up on me!
