Scripture: Haggai 1:6 (New King James Version)
“ You have sown much, and bring in little;
You eat, but do not have enough;
You drink, but you are not filled with drink;
You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm;
And he who earns wages,
Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”
Nugget: Sometimes we have to check ourselves. This scripture makes me think of all we have & what we do with it. It makes me think that we are never satisfied, no matter how much we are blessed. A self-evaluation allows us to realize that there are so many things to be thankful for & so many things we let go to waste.
A little self-evaluation goes a long way!
Quote: “Someone has said it is better to appreciate the things you don’t own than to own things you don’t appreciate. I hope we will have with us a spirit of appreciation for all of the good things we enjoy, all the blessings that we have, many of which have come so easy to us, with very little effort on our part, and yet they are very real and very choice and are truly rich blessings.” –Ezra Taft Benson

Between the scripture and the quote, I don't know which one was more right! Although I am VERY thankful for the things I am blessed with on a daily basis, it's very disheartening to not be able to take care of myself, even when it comes to simple things like lunch and gas. However, I thank God all the time that I have supportive parents who WANT to help me out. I recieved an email today from someone in Louisville who seemed very impressed with my resume & cover letter. So…who knows, my journey could begin before I know it! I can not thank you enough for always being so positive and including God in every bit of positive feedback you give. I ALWAYS look forward to reading what you have to say, because it is VERY uplifting. I wish I had more people like you surrounding me. Hopefully once I move, I'll meet more individuals who are positive and spiritual. Feel free to send me emails anytime! whitnig86@yahoo.com
