Hey all, I’ve been on the fritz; Internet was out!!! I tell ya, it seems like a while, but probably wasn’t too long 🙂
Anywho, I’ve been thinking & yet again receiving some unsolicited advice. Let me say, that no matter what kinda advice people bring to you (& most will be based upon their experiences & at times, stuff they haven’t gotten over), your story will be your story. Whether it’s career, love, education, whatever, your story is exactly yours & will be like no one else’s.
I say this mainly because, it’s sometimes easy to get caught up in what people bring to you & bring at you, but in reality, it’s not too hard to weed out the advice that doesn’t have your best interest at heart. So when someone comes to you w/ advice that’s basically tell-telling his/her outcome in a certain situation: your story will be your story! Don’t let anyone impose nonsense on you that doesn’t reflect who or what you are.
Seek God & see what His story is for you. He doesn’t have any ultimatums, secret agendas, ill-feelings, etc. He has the desire to see you succeed, prosper, be happy, & more.
P.S. Yes, my advice-receiving days from certain people are truly over 🙂
