I’m experiencing a lot of friends who are becoming first-time mothers & fathers. I got to hold one of my oldest & dearest friend’s son today. He is too adorable!! I know that she’s wanted to be a mother from day 1, so this little bundle is a tremendous blessing to her, her husband, family, & friends.
For my other mommy-to-be & daddy-to-be friends, I know that a lot is on the way for them. They are truly good people with experiences that will mold them & prepare them to be good parents. Too many times today we hear about teen pregnancies, people abandoning their children, & more. We seldom hear the good in the parenting realm.
It’s good to be surrounded by people who see the blessings in what they have. It allows me to see that there are better examples than I was faced with in my parents. The past does not determine the future & we truly don’t have to be our parents. I don’t know if I will be a parent, but if God has this in store for me, I’m grateful to the concrete people I have in my circle & will wait for the good man God has for me to take this journey with me.
Congrats, guys & gals. May God continue to bless you. You are a blessing to me for allowing me to be a part of this next journey in your lives. Auntie/Cousin/Sister-in-Christ (insert name here) is here for the little ones & you 🙂
