Okay all, I just returned home from doing my civic duty: jury duty. It was an all day thing! I wasn’t chosen for the jury. However, I was not too upset about that. What a day: legal jargon, hard benches to sit on, security checks & more. I did meet some interesting people though 🙂 I can say this for sure, there are only a few reasons I want to visit the courthouse in the future: my marriage license, for a Passport renewal, or adoption (if I chose to adopt one day). I don’t feel that jury duty is my thing. But that doesn’t mean “they” won’t find me again…….
Also, I give the judicial system some credit. At least we get the opportunity to a trial by jury & one w/ an outcome that entails us to give our side of the story. Yes, in the midst of this crazy, long, exhausting day, there is a silver lining. God bless America!!!
