Daily Scriptures 11/6/14

Scripture: Micah 4:12 But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor. (NIV)

Nugget: There are many things we do not understand that God is doing. He does not reveal His plans or final outcomes to us, but regardless, He knows what He’s doing. God does not need our help.

I continuously remind myself of this: I may not understand how things will work out, but I know that God is working it out. There’s nothing too big for Him.

Allow God to work in your situation; even if you don’t understand it all, He’s on the job!

Daily Scriptures 1/16/14

Scripture: Galatians 6:17 From now on, don’t let anyone trouble me with these things. For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Jesus. (NLT)

Nugget: The Apostle Paul was reflecting on the things he experienced for his faith in this scripture; he was reflecting on the struggles & challenges he endured. Although the things he experienced & endured were challenging, what Paul endured showed his faith in Jesus—it showed he belonged to Jesus.

This scripture makes me reflect on the term “battle scars”. We’ve all experienced things that leave us with battles scars, memories, & pains of what occurred. However, enduring these things produce something in us that should strengthen our faith & connection with God. I can now view these “battle scars” as scars that show that I belong to Jesus & am an overcomer! Wow, thanking God for discernment. We are marked with the scars of Jesus.
