Daily Scriptures 6/21/13

Scripture: Proverbs 29:9 If a wise man contends with a foolish man, Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace. (NKJV)

Nugget: One of my friends often reminds me of how “like attracts like”. For instance, we may wonder why someone is friends with a certain person, or in a relationship with a certain person–most times feeling that they have nothing in common. However, there is usually something that bonds the individuals together.

We must not take lightly the relationships we have. The above scripture mentions wise men contending with foolish men; in situations such as this, peace usually cannot be found. Just think on the times you’ve argued or disagreed with someone who had foolish actions or thoughts; the discussion usually ends up going nowhere.

Our associations in life are really important; go in the direction of peace. Don’t allow anything or anyone to steal your peace.

Quote: “Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.” -Unknown
