Happy Birthday To Me!

2020 has taught me more & more about appreciating the gift of each day, so this birthday is even more important.  I am blessed & grateful to see not only another birthday, but another day!

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” -Psalms 118:24 NKJV

There has been so much loss in my circle of friends & family within the past few months alone; additionally, there’s so much in the news that has reminded me of loss.  In this, I’ve looked at the lives of these individuals & see how they truly lived in their purposes that God has called them to.  They didn’t live in the barriers of the limitations that circumstances created, but in the promises of God & faith.  This enabled them to leave behind legacies & imprints that will carry on beyond their time periods on Earth.  It made me examine & take further action on my God-given purpose, without moving in fear, but in faith.  Because time on this planet is not guaranteed, let alone, the option of seeing the next minute tick by.  It’s imperative to live & not just exist—to thrive & not just survive.

On this birthday, I am in a better place to say that I am purposefully living.  Although there may be challenges & such, I see the blessings in what’s going on in my life & how I can intentionally move forward in all that God has called me to do in who He has called me to be.

2020 will go down in history as one of the years we will never forget, but God is still blessing in 2020 as He’s done in past years.  Someone told me recently, “If you’re still alive in 2020, you know it’s for a purpose!”  This is nothing but the truth!!!  My word for 2020 remains abundance.  This abundance is coming in ways that I couldn’t imagine; it’s not in tangible things alone.  It’s growing my faith, my time & relationship with God & others, & even within myself while fully living the life He’s called me to.

God still blesses, even in 2020!  Live your journey fully in the gift of each precious moment.

Until next time.

Blessings,

Happy Birthday To Me!

Every day is a blessing & so are birthdays! I’m grateful to have lived through another year of life; both the ups & downs continue to make me who I am & allow me to grow.

One of the main things this past year has taught me is that I’m stronger than I ever knew. It’s one thing to be told that I’m a strong person, but it’s another thing to actually see it for myself. There are various things that I’d put on the backburner & chose to ignore that I decided to face this past year. I can tell you that the steps to get to this point were not easy, but they were worth it in the end. Every situation didn’t turn out as I would have expected, but I grew in spite of not getting ‘what I wanted’, knowing God has something greater on the other side. Oh & what a reminder that He’s always in complete control!

I also learned the importance of continuing to move forward; one of my co-workers always reminded, “Just keep swimming”, like in the movie, Finding Nemo. And I truly kept swimming, even if I felt like I was drowning at times!

In seeking God & His direction for the processes I’ve went through, He spoke & provided answers. The most resonating one being from the Bible verses Philippians 3:13-14. These verses came to me a number of times within the past few weeks! There’s no way I couldn’t pay attention to the message God was sending me.

Moving forward can be difficult to do. We want to move forward, at times, while looking back, but this isn’t possible. I came to the realization that sometimes it’s just time to let go & move forward in God. In moving forward in Him, He directs us, guides us, & shows us His way along the journey. For anyone who needs this: God’s got you covered the entire time! Don’t let doubt or fear or any other emotion keep you from what God has for you. Obedience is a key factor as well; if God says do something, we must take heed to His guidance & follow Him completely.

Every day that I get to see is a miracle—I know that I’m a walking miracle. My friends & family, so are you! As I continue to enjoy this day, with the anticipation of a new year, I pray for you that your hearts & minds are open to His will, His direction & His voice. Live well! Live in Him & with Him!

Until next time.

Blessings,

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Happy Birthday to me!! I am so grateful for the blessing to see another birthday. It’s amazing what the past year has brought me. I feel that it’s been one of my toughest, but best years in the terms of growth that I’ve had. I pray that I am able to apply what I’ve learned & continue to grow in God. He has shown me so much about Him & about myself.

As I reflect today, I’m reminded of God’s plans for my life. When I was born, the doctors told my parents that I wouldn’t live, BUT GOD had other plans—–I’m still here & seeing Him reveal what He has called me to do, while developing me into who He wants me to be. So no matter what someone may say about you, what does God say? What do His words reveal to you? Because if my parents & family went by what the doctors said on my birthday those years ago, I wouldn’t be typing this for you to read.

This year has taught me that things go, people go, I’ve stressed about things & people I can’t change, & so much more. But as I wind down this last quarter of 2017, one of my most important lessons & revelations is to LIVE. Live the life that God has called me to, knowing that He has EVERYTHING under control. I think the act of completely surrendering everything we are & all that we wish to be to God is a tough thing for many of us—but I believe that God has a way of putting us in the mindset & situations to do so, especially when we’re seeking Him with all our mind & heart.

So for this upcoming year, I’m looking for amazing things; the things that only God can do. For these things happen for us to give Him all the honor, credit, & glory—they bring us closer to Him. There’s nothing He won’t do for us according to His will.

Here’s to another amazing Born-Day! I’m grateful for the blessing of it & all that these years have taught me.

God’s plans are amazing! Don’t let anyone (even doctors) speak otherwise over your life.

Until next time.

Blessings,

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today, I’m blessed to celebrate another year of life! I’m grateful to see another birthday. Sometimes, we don’t appreciate the gift of each day & what it entails. I remember hearing from my Ma & Grandparents that when I was born, the doctors said I wouldn’t make it. I was a preemie, weighing 3 pounds at birth. BUT GOD had other plans. I’m still here by His grace & mercy!

May we celebrate each day we have the blessing to see. God’s purpose & plan for us will shine through.

Until next time.

Blessings,

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

As I sit on the morning of another birthday, I reflect on God’s goodness & how blessed I truly am. Most times, we don’t realize how blessed we are until we face & overcome something detrimental. How do we miss the blessings in the “little” things? When in reality, the “little” things aren’t so little after all.

Waking up to another day, being clothed in our right minds is more than a little blessing; it’s momentous! For God to see fit to allow us (& bless us) to do so is amazing. So the gift of another birthday is beyond words; especially since I wasn’t supposed to live beyond a certain amount of time after I was born. I was a preemie who came into the world some months early, but God had other plans than what the doctors told my parents.

As I reflect back on this past year, I feel that I’ve been on a journey to becoming a better me. I’ve been working on things I’ve been putting off doing, cleaning my house (including my mind & soul), God has been removing people from my life, & bringing others into my life. I’m beginning to learn to “go with the flow” a little more, or better yet, to trust God a lot more! I’ve been truly trying to sit still in Him & adhere to His will & ways.

So I ask myself, one year ago would I have imagined myself to be where I am today? No way! Last year I was dealing with the aftermath of an auto accident in which I had severe whiplash, pain from other medical concerns, & even a continuous battle with vertigo. Further, I was still coming to terms with the losses of my Grandpa & my hairdresser. There were many challenges & obstacles indeed. But God brought me through & continues to do so.

For this year, I’m planning to continue to work on living through one of my favorite quotes: “Live, Love, Laugh”.   I want to live fully, love completely, & laugh until my stomach hurts. I want to smile when I feel like crying, love when I feel it’s impossible, & live each day like it’s my last. I want to experience all that God has for me, including growing in Him & my relationship with Him.

I thank God for this past year & all that it has done to change me. Without it, I wouldn’t be in a better place; it doesn’t mean things were easy, but they did make me better.

My advice & prayer for you, as I enter this day & another year: “Live, Love, Laugh.”  Let God do these things completely in you & through you!

Until next time.

Blessings,

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Happy Birthday to me! Thanking God for the blessing of not only another day, but another year. I’m praying that this next year be a great one for me! I’m looking forward to great things from my Father upstairs.

One of my goals this new year is to start a list of things I’ve been “wanting to do” & have been putting off doing (for some reason or another). Some of these items can be “simple” & some a little more than simple, but my goal is to complete the items on the list by my next birthday. I hope to share these experiences with you via my blog!

This is a milestone birthday for me & I feel that change is on the way. This will be a time of regrouping & refocusing for me. There are many things that I need to complete, collectively on a personal, professional, & most importantly, a spiritual, basis.

Thank you all for being a part of my journey & for taking the time to follow my blog, leave comments, & stop by! I hope to be back on the Daily Scriptures soon.

I’m truly blessed by my friends, family, & everything God has allowed to happen in my life.  Without Him, where would I be?

Until next time.

Blessings,
