Daily Scriptures 7/28/11

Scripture: James 1:26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. (NIV)

Nugget: As Christians, we must guard what we say & what we put out there. Sometimes, we think before speaking, but our words should line up with our actions. We shouldn’t be saying we’re Christians & acting out in another manner.

There are people who “go to church” & who are “religious”, but the actions & words that follow someone who’s truly for God & what He’s about correlate with the actions of what a Christian is to be.

How do your words & actions relate to your relationship with God as a Christian?

Quote: “To be like Christ is to be a Christian.” -Daniel Webster
