God is in Control

No matter what things may look like or how they may appear to be, God is in control. He has the final say in all things, especially those things that we are praying on.  Although the answers may not come as quick as you or I would like, God answers according to His timing and will.

Discouragement and doubt can easily set in when we’re waiting on prayers to be answered.  We want answers right away, while delayed answers test our patience and faith.  But remember, God’s delay is not His denial.  He’s working out things for our good and His timing is always perfect.

Sometimes, unanswered prayers are God’s way of protecting us or preparing us for something better. Think of the times when you prayed continuously for something, only to look back later and realize that God’s “no” or “not yet” was the best answer He could have given you. Why? Because He saw the bigger picture and was working things out for your good. Trust Him now!

In our waiting, God is teaching us something.  Maybe He’s growing our patience or deepening our trust in Him.  The waiting process can feel long and painful at times, but it is never wasted.  Every prayer we’ve prayed, every tear cried, and every moment of doubt surrendered to Him, is part of His plan. It’s for a purpose.

A reminder for us: Keep praying.  Keep trusting.  Keep believing that God is working behind the scenes in ways we cannot see.  Surrender your timeline and your desires to Him, knowing that His ways are higher than yours. Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT reminds us:

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

When the weight of waiting feels too heavy, lean into God’s promises.  Remind yourself that He is faithful, and He will never leave you or forsake you.  His plans for you are good, and He will bring them to fruition in His perfect timing.

God is in control.  Whatever you’re waiting for, whatever you’re trusting Him with—He hears you.  He sees you.  And in His perfect time, He will answer.

Until next time.

Blessings,
