Have you ever prayed for something and wondered if God was listening? Do you find yourself praying the same prayer over and over, still waiting for an answer? I’ve come to realize that some answers take time. Sometimes, it’s not just about the waiting—it’s about the preparing. God might be getting you and me ready for exactly what we’ve been praying for. Or He could be putting things in place for what you and I are requesting.
That doesn’t mean we won’t face doubts or fears along the way. But it does mean our faith is being strengthened—growing beyond where it is right now. Yes, we’re human. But that can’t be our excuse for doubting God or His timing. Instead, it should be the very reason we choose to walk in Him—in who He is and what He’s already done. Our God is good.
You are not forgotten and neither am I! God is working! Regardless of what we may feel or how things may seem, He’s working. God will do some things quietly, making moves we cannot see. He won’t reveal or tell us everything, and at times, He says absolutely nothing. Yet, we wake up one day and there’s the answered prayer. We won’t be able to explain how it happened, just that “God did it!”
Don’t lose hope. Don’t lose faith. God’s timing is not our timing! Remember:
But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. -2 Peter 3:8 NLT
