Daily Scriptures 2/27/13

Scripture: Psalm 18:20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. (NKJV)

Nugget: Sometimes we may wonder why God hasn’t answered a certain prayer or granted us this or that; however, these things may not or have not occurred because of us. Meaning, what are we doing to demonstrate to God that we are worthy of the things we seek from Him? Are we on the right track? Are we aligned with His word? Or could it be that there’s something we need to learn & to grow from in order for us to be ready for the thing(s) that we seek? Sometimes our blessings to come are tied up not only in God, but in us!

This scripture mentions “according to the cleanness of my hands”, basically, how “clean” are our hands? Are we positioning ourselves to receive what God has for us? Sometimes, we may think that we are ready for something & truth be told, we are not.

I’m striving daily to work on myself, but not only that, to work on my relationship with God. I’m certain there are things that I can do better to grow in Him; I want to be aligned with Him & His will in order for Him to reward me according to my righteousness!
