Scripture: Genesis 31:49 Also Mizpah, because he said, “May the LORD watch between you and me when we are absent one from another.” (NKJV)

Nugget: God has a way of bringing certain people into our lives. For some of them, when we originally meet, we may think that these people are to be a temporary presence in our lives, but God makes them permanent. On the other hand, there may be people who we thought would be permanent, but they had a temporary presence in our lives. God knows the purpose of who He brings to us.

For these lifetime people, we may not see them all the time, or even speak to them all the time, but we know that they are there and vice versa. Lifetime people are rare and hard to find–but God watches between us all while we’re apart. Life, distance, and time do not remove the blessing of these relationships/friendships.

“Friendship isn’t about whom you’ve known the longest…it’s about who came, and never left your side….” -Unknown
