Daily Scriptures 10/26/15

Scripture: John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

Nugget: The woman in this scripture refers to the Samaritan woman at the well who was taking to Jesus. In speaking with the woman, Jesus was telling her about her life, all that she was doing, & then some! Basically, Jesus left nothing out; yes, this lady realized that Jesus was a prophet, but that He was “The Prophet.”

In reading this, I began to think on how Jesus speaks to us today: via sermons, Bible verses, songs, & even confirmation from others. But how many times do we overlook His word & what He speaks & sends to us? Most times, we’re still searching & He’s already provided us the answer—it’s been right there all along.

Regardless of what the Samaritan woman had going on, when Jesus started to speak to her, she took heed & listened. He was revealing too much to her; there was no way for her to turn away. So where do we find Jesus speaking to us & in our lives that we’re choosing to ignore?

For the past few days, I’ve been off from work. I initially had plans for the weekend that fell through, but I’m understanding a little now of why this happened.
