Scripture: Romans 1:17 The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself—that it begins and ends with faith. As the Scripture says, “But those who are right with God will live by faith.” (NCV)
Nugget: God’s word—it’s what lines us up with Him & what He calls us to do. His word allows us to grow in Him & in faith. Without reading His word, seeking Him, & getting to know Him, it’ll be very difficult to live by faith & have His presence in our lives.
I’ve heard someone mention, “We can’t only open our Bibles on Sundays & Wednesdays for service, we must read God’s word daily & spend time with Him.” This includes praying & seeking God on a daily basis. Could you imagine being in a relationship with someone & not spending time with them or getting to know them? There would be little to the relationship. Just an example of why we need to nurture our relationship with God.
Daily, we have the chance to spend time with the one who not only created this Earth, but who created us. This is one relationship we can’t take for granted.
