The Hard Stuff

Have you prayed for something a long time & feel as if nothing is happening? Sometimes, wondering if God truly hears you. It could be that He’s answered & His response is missed. Or His response includes taking an action that you really do not want to. What I’m referring to is the action of doing the hard stuff. What does the hard stuff entail?

The hard stuff entails the things that we really do not want to do! You know what I mean! We may be praying for someone to change, but God wants us to give that person Godly wisdom that we could be afraid to share. Or we are wanting someone to apologize to us, but God is requesting that we be the first to apologize for something we did, but “it’s their fault.” There could be prayers that include seeking a new job, but leaving the old one is required too! Another example is to face the things that are the hardest for us to deal with, yet we think that these things “will go away” if we ignore them enough, but God keeps bringing them back up in order for us to face them in Him (& not alone). Or facing the past & things & people that have hurt you, but you need to do this to move forward.

The hard stuff is just that—HARD. BUT hard doesn’t mean impossible. On our own, yes they are hard, but in God all things are possible. What are the things that hinder you & are holding you back from that prayer being answered? Is there something God is requesting that you do before He leads you to the next step, the next answered prayer? Is there something or someone you’re avoiding, but know that God is asking you to trust Him in your Hard Stuff?

Don’t let your doubts or fears keep you from facing the hard stuff. You aren’t on the journey alone; God is there the entire time. If nothing is happening with that prayer, ask God if there is something He’s requesting of you in order for the prayer to be fulfilled.

Face the hard stuff one step at a time—in God. He’s got you!

Until next time.

Blessings,
