Scripture: Psalm 126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. (NIV)
Nugget: Joy comes from the Lord, not from things or people. I’ve heard that happiness is what we have through things; meaning we equate happiness with the possessions, money, & the like, that we may own. However, in looking at the joy we have from the Lord, it’s endless. The joy we have through Him is because of His love for us; just Him waking us up today is enough reason to be filled with joy!
We must remember not to let anything or anyone steal our joy; it’s given by the Lord & not by people! Don’t hand off the joy that He’s given you. Daily, thank Him for joy; it’s in your heart because God put it there. Do not attach it to things, people, etc. See joy as the gift God put in your heart!
