Scriptures: Ezekiel 37:4-7 4Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the LORD! 5This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’” 7So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. (NLT)
Nugget: In the valley of dry bones, there was no life present; everything was literally & physically ‘bone dry’. God asked Ezekiel to speak a prophetic word to the bones to make them alive again. He did as God instructed, & suddenly there was rattling about the land & the bones came together. The broken pieces attached themselves, there was movement, & action in what was once a dry place.
This is how it can be with us! We may think a situation is dead, a relationship is long over, that we are at a standstill in life, but God may be asking us to speak a prophetic word to these dry situations & relationships. What we speak into existence out of faith could be what brings these things to life again—God is looking to breathe life into us & to make us live again in these areas of our lives.
Are you speaking life & faith into the ‘dry bones’ of your life or are you sitting on them, being discouraged? Your outlook could determine your outcome!
