A good friend of mine bought tickets to the Kirk Franklin concert I mentioned in an earlier blog as my birthday gift. What a great time!!! These are the reasons why I think you should attend a Kirk Franklin concert.
For one thing, he’s full of energy. He performed for 2 hours straight & the energy stayed the same from beginning to end. Secondly, you have no choice but to enjoy it. With the atmosphere & energy, you will not sit down for long; if anything, not at all!! Thirdly, he engages with the audience. I mean, he ran from the stage to the balcony, from the balcony back to the stage, & throughout the auditorium during his performance. It was something else because I didn’t realize this little man (he will say that he’s short!!) had so much enthusiasm for what he does. Of course, I’ve listened to the CDs & may have watched a few videos, but it’s nothing like the live performance, in person. Lastly, you will get your money’s worth. That’s a rare thing to say now-a-days with the lip-synchers, etc. out there. There’s more that can be said, but I’ll let you find out on your own 🙂
I’ve been to various concerts in my life, but this one will move up into the top 2 as one of my favorites 🙂 I enjoyed it & this gift was a great one!!! Thank you, Ms. A.H.!!!
