Scripture: Psalm 68:6 God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. (NLT)
Nugget: Someone mentioned this scripture to me the other day & I had to look it up. It’s always amazing how God covers everything & it’s in His word! “God places the lonely in families”; to me, this means that He has a way of bringing people into our lives who are like family to us. Not only are they “like family”, they become family.
There are many who have strained relationships, if not no relationships, with their biological families, but God doesn’t leave these individuals in want or need—He sees to it that they have a friend who becomes that brother or sister, that mature adult who becomes that missing mother or father, & even others who become role models.
God always has a way of making up for what’s lost or missing in our lives. We just have to pay attention! Thanking God for my “family” members & these families that He’s blessed me with.
