Everyone Can’t Go With You

I’ve heard the saying, “Everyone can’t go with you.” It’s amazing that as the years go by, this saying still applies. People are in our lives for a season, reason, or a lifetime. It is up to us to seek discernment from God regarding the roles these individuals play. As not everyone is supposed to stay or go with you into the next phase of your journey. Not everyone is supposed to be in the FRONT ROW of your life.

I continue to pray for discernment regarding the relationships & friendships I have. As time goes by, God continues to show me more areas where I learn & grow; He also continues to remove people from my life who aren’t supposed to be there. Although these individuals & occurrences with them were temporary, the intent & impact were lasting; there purpose(s) was made clear. No matter what happens, I know that everything is for a reason & it is to make me grow stronger, achieve goals, & more importantly, grow in the Lord.

While keeping this in mind, I am aware that as God removes people from my life, He does have people who remain here, while bringing others into my life as well. I’m grateful for each person’s role in my life. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

May we continue to seek God’s guidance regarding the relationships we have.

Until next time.

Blessings,

  1. This is true. Sometimes, I wonder why some folks remain and others leave, but I know He has a plan. And, I'm willing to follow. Take care.
