Nugget: Rumors & gossip usually go hand-in-hand. When a rumor begins to circulate, there’s gossip most likely involved. This scripture mentions that rumors “sink deep into one’s heart”, which is so very true.
Just reflect on the times when you listened to a rumor or when one was circulating about you—this can be very hurtful. Also, if you’re listening to & spreading rumors, these are words & actions that are getting into your spirit.
We should do our best to refrain from participating in any form of gossip; being on the receiving or giving end of this cycle isn’t good for anyone.
