Scripture: I Samuel 2:35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
Nugget: God is looking for faithful people. Faithful in the verse above is a man that does according to that which is in God’s heart and in his mind. It means a faithful man must have both “knowledge” and “action”. Knowledge – to know what is in God’s heart and mind; Action – to do; to follow through.
Faithful is defined in the dictionary as: a) Strict or thorough in the performance of duty; b) true to one’s word, promises, vows, etc. c) Steady in allegiance or affection; loyal; constant. d) Reliable, trusted, or believed.
Faithfulness creates favor. We run around looking for handouts, favors, etc; but faithfulness in all your doings will guarantee you favor with God and man.
