Scriptures: Genesis 2:21-22 21So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. (NIV)
Nugget: To birth what God has in store, you must “sleep” – totally rest in Him. God brings the woman to the man; contrary to the expectation that a man must “seek” out his wife and “hunt” her down…..God “brought” Eve to Adam. Adam’s role was then to discern what God had put in front of him – and he did, acknowledging – “this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh” – in other words, a suitable helper for me.
