Scripture: Matthew 14:13 As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns. (NLT)
Nugget: This scripture reminds me of the importance of silence. Jesus went away from multitude to be alone & to find silence. Also, notice in this scripture that the crowds went looking for Him in the midst of His desire to seek solitude. That’s how it can be with us; just when you find the silence, someone calls you (& this could include the drama-filled calls that you don’t need!) or someone is looking for you as well.
If Jesus needed solitude, so do we. Silence is something we shouldn’t take for granted. Don’t forget the importance of silence in your life & all that it brings!
