Daily Scriptures 3/31/11

Scripture: Numbers 14:11 And the LORD said to Moses, “How long will these people treat me with contempt? Will they never believe me, even after all the miraculous signs I have done among them? (NLT)

Nugget: Moses had to be one of the most patience people ever! In leading his people to the Promised Land, he faced many challenges, but the majority of the challenges were with the people themselves.

Unbeliever, doubter, etc.; these words definitely should not describe Christians. However, these people were in such doubt & contempt for God it was unbelievable. Not only were they not focusing on Him, they were not focusing on all the miracles God had previously performed.

At times, I feel that we can be the same way; we focus on the here & now without thinking of God’s previous blessings & miracles! Why do we do this? Just think of what He did for our grandparents, parents, & now us; remember what He has done. God continues to be & is ALWAYS at work—what more could we ask for?
