Daily Scriptures 4/4/11

Scriptures: James 1:19-20 19So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. (NKJV)

Nugget: Anger can be one of the most controlling emotions that we have. Reacting in anger can leave detrimental outcomes. These scriptures remind us to be slow to anger & swift to hear (because the last thing we want to do when we’re angry is to listen to someone speak!); however, anger doesn’t necessarily lead us down the right path.

Check your reaction to things & people; don’t move forward & react in anger. Allow God to step in & be bigger than you & your reaction(s).

Quote: “For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson
