Daily Scriptures 3/6/12

Scripture: Proverbs 29:1 Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery. (NLT)

Nugget: We all know someone who will not take criticism; usually this person (or persons) is so stubborn that they won’t listen. In the end, the only person he/she ends up hurting is him/herself.

We definitely do not want to be like these individuals; we should always seek criticism (constructive criticism at that). In receiving this criticism, be mindful of who you receive it from; it should come from someone who has your best interest at heart & whose words are backed by God’s guidance.

Always be open to growing & to being a better person. Don’t let the “you” in yourself get in the way of any areas of potential growth in your life.

Quote: “Every human being is entitled to courtesy and consideration. Constructive criticism is not only to be expected but sought.” -Margaret Chase Smith
