Wow, Singletons, I haven’t posted to us in a while. Hmmmm, I’ve had a few interesting conversations over the past few weeks or so, with both Singletons & married friends.
Let’s begin with the people who ask, “When am I going to come to your wedding? I mean, you’re such a good person & so pretty.” But in the next sentence, they state, “But there aren’t really good quality men out there.” Now, isn’t this a bit contradictory? The “me” in me wanted to say something smart in response, but the Jesus in me said that “God knows what He’s doing. Everything in His time.” 🙂
Then you have people who feel that you should be a miserable Single, but in reality, most of my friends & I aren’t in this category. I feel that most of us are pretty happy people & enjoying the “single life”. This is definitely a time for us to work on ourselves in order to be prepared for the “one” that God is bringing our way. Additionally, while God is preparing us, He’s preparing that “one” for each of us.
I believe that God is constantly at work & knows His plans; if He taken care of us so far, He’s definitely going to continue to do so. He’s not wrong, He’s a Father, & He wants what’s best. So why not wait for the best?
My friend & I were talking the other day & we were reflecting on the scripture: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
So, just imagine what you’re wanting from God; not only does He answer prayers, but He can do exceedingly abundantly above this! I began to think on what & who I’m praying for & God can do this PLUS some!
Definitely do not put a limit on God; He will give each of us exactly what we need—-the person He’s designed for each of us.
I’m not saying the time of waiting & preparation is an easy time, but it doesn’t have to be a time of “in the meantime”, as some people make it out to be. It’s definitely a time for you to wait, trust God, be ready, & to enjoy you!! Because if you aren’t ready for what God is bringing, then what’s the point? Your other ½ would want a complete person too.
Until next time.
Blessings,
