Scriptures: Jeremiah 23:23-24 23“Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “and not a God far away? 24Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD. (NIV)
Nugget: There are times when we go through so many things, that we feel that God is not near us or that He cannot hear us. There are other times, that we’ve done so many things & feel that we can hide the things we’ve done; sometimes, we attempt to block these things out or even hide them from God.
In a recent conversation with a dear friend, we were discussing just how much God loves us—not matter what, He loves us. God is not so far away that we can’t reach out to Him; He hasn’t moved, He hasn’t gone anywhere, & He knows our every move.
There are no secrets or secret places with God—He’s ever present. If you focus on nothing else today, remember that God loves you.
Quote: “Even while confined to this earth, you can be confident that your Father is watching over you. The devil took away Job’s purse and left him temporarily destitute, but Job had a God in heaven who replenished his account. As a saint, you have some collateral: your stock of faith, and your deed of inheritance as a citizen of heaven. These are great security both now and for the future. Satan knows it, and will do his best to snatch them away from you. But no matter how hard he tries…he cannot annul your faith, make void your relationship with God, or dry up the spring of your comfort though he may dam up the stream for awhile.” -William Gurnall
