Scriptures: Ephesians 6:23-24 23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Nugget: In my Bible devotional time today, I read the last chapter of Ephesians; the last 2 verses in this chapter are the ones indicated above. In reading Paul’s last words to the people of Ephesus, I began to ponder on the last words I’ve spoken to people; whether this be departing from work, home, visiting friends or family, etc. Paul’s words reminded me of how important our departing words & actions can be.
Paul wished the Ephesians peace, love with faith, & grace. On top of all of this, he reminded them of the love they have for our Lord Jesus & said “Amen” (which to me, means he was sending up a prayer up as well). Paul’s words, as well as actions, are an example of some areas I need to change; at some point, we’ve all departed from someone with actions & words we’ve regretted. The point is, how can we change this from here going forward?
Take time today & think about your departing words & actions of those you see today. Let’s try to follow Paul’s example.
