Scripture: Jeremiah 1:9 Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. (NKJV)
Nugget: There are some things that God will ask us to do that we may feel that we aren’t ready for. In this chapter, God was asking Jeremiah to go out & speak to His people. Jeremiah felt that he was too young to perform such a daunting task (in his eyes). But God let Jeremiah know that Jeremiah was being called by Him to perform the task. God would be with Jeremiah from beginning to end; allowing Jeremiah not to act in his own strength, but in the strength of God.
This is how it is with us & God at times. God will ask us to do things we feel we aren’t qualified for, aren’t educated enough to do, or things we feel that aren’t in our “time” to do. But God has other plans. If He’s telling us to do something, calling us out of our comfort zones, & more, God will always be there with us through it & He will give us the gifts, talents, & words to make things happen! Whatever God asks us to do will be completed with Him by our sides.
What is God calling you to do that you’re hesitating about?
