If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. Nugget: Daily I’m reminded that life & what’s in it are temporary. Most days, we can easily start our day thinking that things & life can go on forever. When in reality, each moment, & all that God blesses us with, is temporary. This is why it’s so imperative for us to enjoy the time & life we have. Counting all blessings along the way.
Let us not get so caught up in the material things, dealings of the flesh, pride, & lust. If we truly examine ourselves & these things, we’ll realize that God wants our focus & love to be on Him; not the temporary things of the world. But love for Him, showing & demonstrating that we know our time here is but a precious gift, where all roads lead to Him.
