Scripture: Jeremiah 1:8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. (NIV)

Nugget: God had given Jeremiah specific tasks to do in which Jeremiah’s responses were “I’m too young” and “I don’t know how to speak.” God’s answer was that He would be with Jeremiah & for Jeremiah not to be afraid—God would be with Him.

How many times has God told us to do something, to step out on faith & the strength that can only come from Him, & our response be that we couldn’t do it? How many times has God promised to be with us from beginning to end, but we still let fear keep us from His promises?

We shouldn’t let fear or doubt overshadow what God has put in us to do; or keep us from the things that He’s specifically asked us to do. With God telling us to step out on faith, with Him, the strength to complete anything is with us as well.

Quote: “Frequently remind yourself that God is with you, that He will never fail you, that you can count upon Him. Say these words, “God is with me, helping me.” -Norman Vincent Peale
