There are many times we seek God & pray to Him regarding changing some things in our lives. Whether it is about a person or circumstance, the thing we want is change. However, are we ready to face the answer that God gives us? Most times, we aren’t ready for this.
God may lead us to walk away from certain friendships or relationships. He may lead us to another job, or more importantly, a career. There may be times where we need to sit alone in His presence—allowing Him to step in & to make a way out of no way.
We’ve all heard the saying, “Change is inevitable”, but I think I’m finally understanding this more & more as I continue through adulthood. There are some things I have no control over & things I will not be able to change, no matter what. But trusting in God & having faith in Him will help me to make it through these things & to grow in Him. Recently (& unfortunately), I had to make the decision to put my beloved cat to sleep; he had developed oral cancer. I wasn’t aware that this is something that happened to cats. After months of going to the veterinarian & even radiation treatment, he did not get better. I can say that I truly didn’t understand God’s reasons & purpose for this to happen in my cat’s life or in mine, but daily I’m getting better about the realization that I did all that I could & the rest was in God’s hands. Now as I continue on, I am going through the grieving process with God & friends/family by my side. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been very challenging & difficult, but healing comes day-by-day.
So what can we do as the changes of life come our way—trust & lean on God. No matter the changes we face, God is constant & He never changes. We must realize that the changes are what make us grow in faith & as individuals. As I always say, if change & growth didn’t occur, many of us would be riding bikes with our parents holding on to the back of them—training wheels & all!! We had to be open to them letting go, removing the training wheels, & letting us ride.
Live life. Allow God to guide you through the changes. Pray earnestly, get into His word. There’s nothing we can face that God won’t get us through.
Until next time.
Blessings,
