Scripture: Luke 4:22 Everyone spoke well of him and was amazed by the gracious words that came from his lips. “How can this be?” they asked. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” (NLT)
Nugget: When Jesus was speaking to this crowd, He amazed them. Some people were shocked at the words that Jesus spoke; even questioning if Jesus was indeed Joseph’s son, who they’d seen before. They couldn’t believe their eyes & ears.
Many of us have had similar experiences….the experiences of if we are who we say that we are to if we are who God has changed us to become. Most times, people will remind us of how & who we used to be. BUT GOD has done a work in us so that we are transformed into who we are in Him—going in the direction He’s set for us, shocking others along the way.
Don’t allow your past or the opinions of others to keep you from continuous growth into who God’s created you to be. Let them be astonished & shocked as you walk & change in God—the only thing they should have left to talk about will be God’s goodness.
