Daily Scriptures 7/27/16

Scripture: Job 17:9 Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger. (NIV)

Nugget: Doing the right thing can be challenging at times, especially when the “wrong thing” seems like an easier path. Just think on some of the times when doing the right thing caused you to go down a path that put you where you didn’t want to be or face something you weren’t ready to. BUT in the end, you grew from it, developing something you never thought you had in you or something you thought unattainable.

Sure, it can be easier to do what’s least challenging, but in the end, what’s the result? Most times, it’s something short-lived or fleeting. In taking the path that connects us to God’s will, we will experience growth, blessings, & strength that could only come from walking this path. It may not always be easy, but we know that all things are working for our good.

We must not let go of when God calls us to do right, standing with Him, without these moments, we could lose out on something that will strengthen us & carry us into more blessings.

Quote: “Keep a good attitude and do the right thing even when it’s hard. When you do that you are passing the test. And God promises you your marked moments are on their way.” –Joel Osteen
