Daily Scriptures 3/9/17

Scripture: I Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (NIV)

Nugget: God loved us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. God’s unconditional love was shown not only in His giving up of Jesus, but also in Jesus knowing His purpose & not backing down from what He was put here to do. We can say that not many, if any, would give up their child to die for another or if we were in Jesus’ shoes would’ve went through with it.

This is one of the reasons why love is one of the greatest experiences one could have. We have an example of what unconditional love is. In loving others, we have the opportunity to be an example of the love that God shows to us. Love doesn’t have to have conditions attached; it’s accepting people unconditionally as they are. Now don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean to be taken advantage of or to put ourselves in anything unhealthy, but to love others as God loved us—this could mean loving some people from a distance!

Quote: “God’s love is unconditional, unlimited, and complete.” -Unknown
