Scripture: Romans 13:11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. (NIV)
Nugget: Most times, we think that we have until “later” to give our lives to God & accept Jesus as our Savior. There’s even that feeling that we have to be perfect or doing things completely right in order to walk with Him (this is definitely what I thought for a long time). However, God accepts us just as we are. He made us & knows where we need improvement & also knows His plans for us; the plans that cannot happen without Him in our lives.
There’s so much going on in today’s time that we can sense that our ‘salvation is nearer now’ than ever before. The need to pray, walk with God, & seek Him are necessities to make it through the days & experiences that come upon us.
We don’t have to be perfect to accept God & His calling for us. Instead of thinking the time is later, consider that the time is now.
