Scripture: I Kings 21:25 There was never anyone like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of the LORD, urged on by Jezebel his wife. (NIV)
Nugget: King Ahab allowed his wife, Jezebel, to control him & his actions; these actions included manipulation by Jezebel to get what she wanted & actions in which he acted outside of God’s will.
This says a lot—we must seek God’s guidance in our actions & definitely regarding those we surround ourselves with. The closest person to a husband is a wife & the closest person to a wife is a husband. This is why it’s so important for us to allow God to lead us to the right person He has in store for us; otherwise the closest person to us could end up being detrimental to us & can be our downfall.
Let God do the choosing; allow His will to be done.
