I’m learning more & more to be grateful for the “little” things. I mean, the things we think are little! I think we get to the point where we take so much for granted. We get so caught up in what’s going on or what’s not going on that we lose focus on what God has given us.
For instance, EVERYDAY I hear the birds chirping & singing when I leave for work. I think of this as them thanking God for the sunrise, for the new day, & for the food they have. They do not hesitate to send up praise. We, most times, get up, rush to work, rush through the day, & forget to thank God for what He’s given us. I’m trying to slow down a lot & take in the beautiful day, the sunrise & sunset, the ability to walk, to talk, to see, & more. In this slowing down, I realize that God is too good to me!!! Not because of anything I’ve done, but because of His mercy & grace!
Although you may not be where you want to be, you’re where God wants you to be at this moment in time. Take in the complete season & the changes that come with it, while enjoying some of what’s going on. The “little” things can get you through the big problems. I believe that this is what God wants for us to see. I know that during my “big problems season” my only prayer was “God you’re in control”; I promised God that I would not lose sight of what He wanted for me to learn & what He wanted for me to focus on! I urge you to do the same.
Count your “little” things & those things you consider to be “small” blessings. These add up to be the bigger things that make life worthwhile!
Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. (NLT)
Until next time.
Blessings,
