Scripture: Proverbs 10 v 17: He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. (NIV Translation)
Nugget: A man who knows how to take and follow instructions is very useful. Even more valuable is the man who does not need instructions, but is able to manage himself without being given all the details. However, most valuable is the man who can take correction…..”he that refuseth reproof erreth”. We are all “work in progress”. – so it’s expected that no matter how good we are, that we will make mistakes sometimes (no matter how rare). The issue is not that you made a mistake; but are you humble enough to recognize the mistake and take feedback on how to improve or avoid the mistake the next time. Our greatest challenge, especially for the “valuable” or “accomplished” man, is humility.
