Daily Scriptures 8/13/12

Scriptures: Psalm 18:25-27 25To the faithful you show yourself faithful; to those with integrity you show integrity. 26To the pure you show yourself pure, but to the wicked you show yourself hostile. 27You rescue the humble, but you humiliate the proud. (NLT)

Nugget: In reading these scriptures, I’m reminded that people cannot fool God. These scriptures point out that what we put out there is what we get in return. God shows us the same measure of faith & actions that we put into the atmosphere. “The the faithful”, He shows Himself faithful. To the wicked, He shows Himself hostile, & so forth.

This is why it’s imperative for us to have the heart & mind to act in the manner that’s pleasing to God; we cannot allow the action or inaction of others to impact our desire to please God. He sees all & knows all—He will handle everything according to His will.

How are you showing yourself to God? Is it according to His will or your own?
