Daily Scriptures 8/25/10

Scriptures: Colossians 3:23-24 23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (NIV)

Nugget: For most of us, work has been busy, & can be overwhelming, at times. We have to take each task one task at a time & do what we can. It’s easy to get caught up in the hectic on-goings at work & forget whom we’re working for—the Lord. We must work each day as if we’re working for the Lord, & not men. Our reward comes from Him! Just think about it, the jobs we have are because of His blessings & favor! So why not work as if we’re working onto the Lord?

Don’t forget whom you’re serving daily—God.

Quote: “It is impossible to get exhausted in work for God. We get exhausted because we try to do God’s work in our own way.” –Oswald Chambers
