Scripture: II Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. (NIV)
Nugget: There are many people who claim to know & to live God’s word; these same people have hearts & actions that do not line up with God’s word. It’s imperative that we know God’s word for ourselves; refraining from seeking advice & preaching from “false prophets”.
Stay in prayer regarding those who you receive God’s word from; seek God in all things. He will lead you in the right direction.
