Scripture: Proverbs 30:32 If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, put your hand on your mouth. (NKJV)

Nugget: We’ve all had the instances where we’ve been prideful and/or exalted ourselves. At times, this included “putting our foot in our mouths”—as the saying goes. There have also been instances where people have used their words to devise evil. In either case, we must learn the skill of keeping our mouths shut; there are definitely times when things should be said, but there are also times when our prideful, or even deceitful, words can get us into trouble.

There’s power in words & the intent behind them; we must weigh our words heavily & use them wisely.

Quote: “Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.” -Pearl Strachan
