Scripture: Romans 9:16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. (NIV)
Nugget: We sometimes have the desire or want for certain things or people in our lives; however, these desires may not be in God’s will for us. We can pray & pray on these wants, but nothing appears to be happening. The thing is, this could be God’s way of keeping these wants/desires out of our lives as His intended purpose and/or promise is for something or someone else for us.
We must keep in mind that if God doesn’t have something for us, then it will not be. Even if we receive it temporarily, if it’s not in God’s will for it to stay, then it will not be. God’s mercy & grace supersedes anything that we can imagine or think—our request to receive His promises are based upon His will.
