Scripture: Isaiah 32:18 My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places (NKJV)
Nugget: A good friend pointed out this scripture to me; it’s a great reminder to me about having peace at home. Home should be the one place that we all go to in order to have peace, rest, & calmness. It’s our habitation that should be a reflection of us & more importantly, a reflection of God & His blessings to us.
God says, “My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation.” Do these words describe your home? Or are you bringing the workday home? Carrying the stressors of those around you with you? Your own stressors? If so, what can you do to make your home the “quiet resting place” that God intends for it to be?
Don’t underestimate the importance of having the peaceful place to come home to. I am guilty of bringing the workday/etc. home, but I’m going to do my best from now on to leave work at work, leave other stressors where they are, decorate my surroundings, & focus on making my home the peaceful dwelling that God intends for it to be.
Won’t you do the same?
