Scriptures: Philippians 4:14& 15 14Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only (NIV)
Nugget: Apostle Paul faced many challenges & troubles along his journey. In these scriptures, he expresses how the Philippians stood by him during these times of trouble. The Philippians were the ones who stood by Paul when “not one church shared” with him.
The scriptures here remind me of our times of trouble & who really stands by us; most times, we have a core group of friends & family who we can truly depend upon. These are the ones who share our troubles, encourages us when we’re down, pray for us, & so much more. These are the people who are the “except you only” (as mentioned in the verse).
Thank God for the “except you only” people in your life. These individuals are priceless.
