Scripture: Proverbs 16:9 We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. (NLT)
Nugget: We have these plans for our lives as we journey into our dreams & goals. A lot of times, things do come to pass & other times they do not. The thing about our plans is that, at times, they don’t line up with God’s plans for us. We may want to go right, but God wants us to go left. We may want this job, but God closes the door. We may see ourselves in a relationship, but God guides us elsewhere, to something we never imagined. The list can go on & on.
There’s nothing wrong with us having the plans & the drive to make them happen; we do know that faith without works is dead. However, we must ask God for guidance & discernment along the way. He’s there speaking to us, even when we don’t think He is or when we choose to go our own way.
We must pay attention to God’s hands in our plans & lives. He does know what’s best—let Him guide the steps for us to get there.
